Welcome to Wellness and Longevity

We are so glad you are here.

The clinician you see at your first visit is your partner in your medical journey, and they will help you find the unique strategy for you to travel safely to a healthier you. While many are fortunate to be able to lose weight on their own without any medical help, a medically supervised weight loss can be quite beneficial for individuals who are living with obesity, or are overweight, and tried but failed to be successful in reducing their weight.

We will tell you how we operate from day 1, a full disclosure, and we want you to be fully transparent with us about your health, habits and hindrances on your journey to be well, so that you can improve and maintain your health for years to come.

Our 2 rules

  1. Labs. We require you to complete screening labs in the beginning of your treatment, and at least annually, as long as you are our patient. This is a part of our assessment aimed to ensure that you have no contraindications for treatment. The labs can also show you and your provider changes and progress you made on your journey to a healthier you.
  2. Homework. We keep it simple. No gimmicks, just an old-fashioned balanced nutrition system with reduced carbohydrate load, regular movement schedule with fair amount of resistance training, and showing up regularly for your clinically supervised weight loss program check-in to see these pounds melt. We strongly suggest weekly visits for check-ins with your provider within the first treatment month, and beyond. And we advise you to keep a diary of your dietary and movement efforts.

What we have seen

We have seen a fair number of patients losing weight, up to 20, 30, 50, and 90+ lbs and more, and maintaining the weight after the loss with a combination of regular medical help and healthy lifestyle maintenance. A 5-10% weight loss for an obese or overweight person is not a small change, but a victory worth celebrating.

Even if you slip and have some overindulgences over the holidays, or that special vacation, you can always get back to the system that works. This is all part of the journey. It takes time, months and perhaps years to be successful, and we are here for you for the long haul.

Benefits of medically supervised weight loss

  • Lower blood pressure
  • Healthier heart
  • Less strain on joints and lower back
  • Improved sex life
  • Better sleep
  • More self-confidence
  • Better lifestyle habits
  • Improved overall health outcomes, and longevity

What we offer

Prescription weight loss includes oral and injection treatments designed to complement your individual diet and exercise plan suggested by a licensed medical professional. At Wellness and Longevity we offer medications that are designed to complement a medically supervised weight loss plan. They can help reduce appetite, combat cravings, help build muscle, restore cellular energy, and promote a healthier gut.

Some of our medications and supplements include:

  • Appetite suppressants
  • Injectable vitamins
  • Injectable essential amino acids
  • Peptides, including GLP-1 receptor agonists
  • Sermorelin, a growth hormone secretagogue

All our prescription weight loss medications, vitamins, and amino acid mixes come from US-based regular pharmacies and 503A compounding pharmacies.

Why it matters

Weight issues, and obesity in particular, are complicated, and there are medical debates even about their classifications. They are highly connected with your past (genetics), your current environment, your nutrition and lifestyle habits, and your support systems. We at Wellness and Longevity are here to listen to you and discuss what we can do medically to assist you in your journey to maintaining your ideal weight.

Large studies confirm the obesity connection to poor metabolic and endocrine health, development of cardiovascular disease and cancer, and low exercise capacity. The National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) found that approximately 40.3% of US adults in 2021-2023 had obesity, with 9.4% having severe obesity. At the same time, roughly 38% of adults in the US have metabolic syndrome, a complex chronic condition manifesting in high blood pressure, insulin resistance, and inflammatory changes in organs and tissues.

Obesity drives these changes and leads to degrees of physical incapacity, organ damage, and shortened lifespan. Most people agree that these are serious reasons to seek medical help. However, insurance-driven medicine can be tough to navigate, continuity of care is not consistent, and needed medications are not always covered or have prohibitive side effects. At Wellness and Longevity we will openly discuss what works and what does not in your individual weight loss journey, and together we will look for the most fitting solution.

How treatment works

  1. Initial evaluation. Symptom intake, medical history, weight history, prior treatments tried, current medications, and a physical exam.
  2. Laboratory testing. Screening labs to confirm appropriateness and identify any underlying conditions or contraindications for treatment ($120, includes interpretation).
  3. Treatment plan. If medication is clinically appropriate, we discuss the options that fit your individual situation, including which medication, starting dose, and what monitoring looks like.
  4. Weekly check-ins. We strongly suggest weekly visits with your provider during the first treatment month, and regular check-ins beyond that.
  5. Ongoing care. Follow-up labs at least annually, dose adjustments as needed, and continued support for your nutrition and movement plan.

Frequently Asked Questions

Tap any question to expand. If you do not see your question, give us a call at (916) 839-7740.

How much does this cost?

There are two main fees. The laboratory fee ($120) is mandatory at the first visit and annually, and includes lab interpretation. The provider exam fee ($100) is waived if you purchase medications or supplements worth $150 or more. Medication costs vary by type: oral medications run $30-40 per week, GLP-1 injectables start at $80 per week, and supplement or amino acid injections start at $20. Call us to discuss pricing for your specific treatment plan.

What medications do you offer?

We offer oral appetite suppressants, injectable vitamins, injectable essential amino acids, peptides including GLP-1 receptor agonists, and Sermorelin (a growth hormone secretagogue). All our medications come from US-based regular pharmacies and 503A compounding pharmacies. Which medication is right for you depends on your evaluation, lab results, and individual situation.

How fast will I lose weight?

Results vary widely. We have seen patients lose 20, 30, 50, and 90+ lbs with a combination of regular medical help and healthy lifestyle maintenance. It takes time, months and perhaps years to be successful. A 5-10% weight loss for an obese or overweight person is a real victory. We discuss realistic expectations for your situation during the evaluation.

How often do I need to come in?

We strongly suggest weekly visits for check-ins with your provider within the first treatment month. After that, we work with you on a schedule that supports your progress. Regular follow-up is how we monitor your response, adjust your plan, and keep you on track.

Do I need lab work?

Yes. Lab work is one of our two rules. We require screening labs at the beginning of treatment and at least annually for as long as you are our patient. The labs ensure you have no contraindications for treatment and help both you and your provider track your progress.

Will I gain the weight back if I stop?

Weight regain is a real concern. That is why we emphasize the homework alongside the medication: balanced nutrition with reduced carbohydrate load, regular movement with resistance training, and ongoing check-ins. The goal is to build a system that works long-term, not just while you are on medication.

Ready to start?

Call us. We will answer questions, confirm whether evaluation is the right next step, and book your initial visit. Please note that we do not give medical advice over the phone.
