A simple, professional way to start fresh with your skin. Whether you are addressing fine lines, acne scars, dull texture, or just giving your skin a reset, microneedling stimulates your body’s natural collagen response. Performed by a licensed Family Nurse Practitioner using SkinPen Precision at our Old Roseville practice.
Most patients are pink for a day with no real downtime.
What is microneedling?
Microneedling, sometimes called collagen induction therapy, is a minimally-invasive skin treatment that uses a sterile surgical steel micro device with very fine needles to create multiple controlled micro-channels in the surface of the skin. These micro-channels are too small to cause visible injury but signal the body to produce new collagen and elastin as it heals. Over a series of treatments, many patients notice smoother texture, softened fine lines, and improvement in the appearance of acne scars and enlarged pores. Because the treatment relies on your body’s own collagen response, microneedling is often chosen by patients looking for a natural approach to skin rejuvenation. Ask us about options for other areas of skin you wish to give an extra treat.A good first step into our practice
Microneedling is one of the services we recommend most often as a starting point. It works well for patients of any age who want to address:- Fine lines and early signs of aging
- Acne scarring and other textural irregularities
- Enlarged or visible pores
- Uneven skin tone and dullness
- A general “skin reset” before exploring other treatments
Contraindications
Microneedling may not be appropriate if you have active skin cancer in the treatment area, active acne breakouts, active cold sore flair, certain skin conditions, keloid formation, bleeding disorders, or are pregnant or nursing. Systemic isotretinoin SHOULD BE DISCONTINUED for 6 months prior to the treatment (Accutane, Claravis). Hold off on the treatment for 4 weeks after Botox injection to the same area. Call us if allergy to Lidocaine is present. A consultation at your visit is the right way to confirm whether this treatment fits your skin and your goals. General answers from a provider are available free over the phone.Pricing
A typical course is 3 sessions for best results. Plan on about $750 for the recommended series ($1,050 with PRP). Prices can change without notice.
What to expect at your visit

- Brief consultation. We review your medical, and skin history, goals, and any medications or conditions that affect candidacy.

Topical numbing cream is applied at the start of every visit. - Treatment. We perform microneedling using SkinPen Precision by Crown Aesthetics, the first microneedling device the FDA reviewed and authorized for use on the face and neck. A full-face session typically takes 30 to 40 minutes.

Microneedling and PRP
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) uses a small tube of your own blood, spun down to concentrate the growth factors your body already makes, then applied during the microneedling. Patients who add it tend to heal faster and see results sooner. Ask our provider if this combination is right for your goals. Why choose Wellness & Longevity in Roseville
