What glutathione does for you
Glutathione is often called a master antioxidant, and for a good reason. It neutralizes free radicals in your cells, helps your body regenerate vitamins C and E, and supports your liver. Glutathione also helps protect skin against oxidative stress and solar damage, improves dark spots, and evens out skin tone. For those who like the science
Glutathione (GSH) is a tripeptide your body produces naturally and every living cell needs. Chemically it is called gamma-glutamyl-cysteinyl-glycine, composed of three amino acids: cysteine, glutamic acid, and glycine. It participates in Phase I liver detoxification and acts as a heavy metal chelator. It also serves as a cofactor for several cellular enzymes.Who might benefit from glutathione
Glutathione may be helpful if you:- Have had toxic exposures or need detoxification support
- Feel chronically ill and like you cannot seem to heal or recover
- Live with an autoimmune disease
- Have injuries or tissue damage that have not healed
- Want overall wellness and anti-aging support

Why glutathione levels drop
Many conditions deplete normal levels of glutathione in the body, including:- Injury
- Alcohol
- Aging
- Lack of sleep
- Medications
- Poor nutrition
- Chronic illness
- Environmental toxins
- Inflammation
- Stress
Why we use injections, not pills
The tricky part is getting glutathione into the body. Different glutathione preparations vary widely in stability and absorption. Oral glutathione easily breaks down in the GI tract, and it is difficult for it to reach the cells without a protective carrier. Injections are a more effective way to administer glutathione. What we offer at Wellness & Longevity
At Wellness & Longevity we offer Glutanex, an injectable form of glutathione (GSH). Weekly glutathione injections are a way to protect your cells from free-radical damage, stabilize your cellular membranes, and support your liver after alcohol or other toxin overindulgence. Think of it as a shield and support on the molecular level.Vitamin B12 injections
Vitamin B12 helps your body keep DNA, RNA, and proteins healthy through a chemical process called methylation. It supports your cells’ production of energy from fats and proteins, helps your body make hemoglobin (the protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen), and helps regulate homocysteine, a substance linked in research to higher risk of cardiovascular disease and age-related neurological conditions such as Alzheimer’s. Adequate B12 becomes especially important with age, because the gut absorbs vitamins and minerals less efficiently over time. Why deficiency can be hard to catch
B12 deficiency symptoms can take years to appear. Even people with adequate B12 in their diet can become deficient because of absorption problems, lack of intrinsic factor (a condition called pernicious anemia), or long-term use of certain medications. Common signs include fatigue, neurological changes, anemia, soreness or inflammation of the tongue, palpitations, and low white and red blood cell counts. B12 deficiency has also been linked to elevated DNA damage and altered DNA methylation, which are risk factors for certain cancers. Why we use injections
If absorption is the limiting factor, an intramuscular injection delivers B12 directly and bypasses the gut entirely. How B12 is administered
We offer Vitamin B12 as a 500 mcg intramuscular injection. Most patients are dosed once or twice per month on average, with frequency adjusted to your individual metabolic needs. Vitamin B12 has no tolerable upper intake limit and is generally considered safe even at higher doses. Specific precautions for your situation are reviewed during your consultation with the provider. What to expect at your visit
- Brief consultation. We review your goals, your medical history, any medications, and any conditions that affect candidacy.
- Injection. Glutathione is administered by your licensed provider as a quick injection. Most patients describe it as a brief pinch.
- Cadence. Glutathione is most often dosed weekly. Your specific schedule is tailored to your goals and medical history.
- Aftercare. No real downtime. You can return to normal activities the same day.
Considerations
Both Glutathione and B12 injections are administered only after a consultation with our licensed provider and confirmation of candidacy. Your medical history, current medications, allergies, and conditions are reviewed before each treatment. Specific considerations for your situation are discussed during your visit. Why choose Wellness & Longevity in Roseville
